Gareth O’Shea

School Improvement, Safeguarding, SEND, Schools Learning Alliance Lead

Gareth has held many educational positions since qualifying as a teacher in 1995. He has worked in the UK and abroad in Thailand. Before joining the Orchard Learning Alliance in September 2023, Gareth was employed by Wokingham Local Authority for 13 years as a head teacher in two different schools, Highwood Primary School and Hawkedon Primary School. He is the co-founder of the Schools Learning Alliance, a group of 35 schools that work collaboratively to provide challenge and support to each other. He has worked for both Slough and Wokingham Local Authorities as a school improvement partner. For five years from 2009 to 2015, Gareth worked as an additional Ofsted inspector. In 2022, Gareth was awarded with the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership.
