Radstock Primary School is a GOOD school, located in Earley near the University of Reading. We teach a curriculum that prepares our children to be global citizens of an unknown future, where they will need to be confident and effective communicators; adventurous and willing to take risks; inquisitive and able to use problem-solving skills; and confident to find their own way as they move through the 21st century.
We are an inclusive school, where all pupils’ achievements are celebrated and where an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect is embedded.
We have high expectations for all our children in their work and behaviour and support them to develop the skills to try their best in all they do and persevere, even when it is hard.
Our focus on inclusivity has encouraged us to bid for and be successful in an application to open a 21-place SEND unit for children with Autism and associated and additional needs for Wokingham Borough Council. The unit will open in September 2024 to reception-age children only with a rolling programme over the next few years.
Radstock Primary is a multi-cultural school with a significant number of families from across the world – we celebrate our diverse staff and pupil population and encourage collaboration and participation with our community. We know that when schools and families join together to support learning, pupils do better and enjoy school more. We have the very best pupils and want our school to be the very best!
We are an outward facing school and believe in the benefits of working with other organisations to support strengthening teaching and learning for all the children in the community. As a result, we are delighted to be joining with the Orchard Learning Alliance, a group of like-minded schools and Headteachers.
We look forward to joining the multi-academy Trust in a partnership where everyone thrives.
